ALLEGED NEGLECT: Hearing For Ankeny Parents

The Ankeny parents accused of locking two children in the basement are scheduled to be in court Thursday.

Paul and Joann Drake are each facing two charges of neglect and two charges of false imprisonment.

Police say they locked their kids, ages 13 and 14, in their basement for three or four weeks. Police say the only time they were let out was to attend school.

The kids have been removed from the home.
