Iowa State Junior forward Melvin Ejim is a starter on the Cyclone basketball team.  He's averaging just over 11 points 9 rebounds a game.  But it may be off the court where Ejim excels even more.

Melvin was recently accepted for membership into the exclusive Iowa State University Chapter of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest and most selective collegiate honor society for academics. Its chapters are on more than 300 campuses in the United States, and each year approximately 30,000 members are initiated.

Ejim is a 4.0 student and a history major.
