Secretary of State Matt Schultz is pushing for a new stricter voting requirement for all Iowans

Schultz says he will ask state lawmakers to consider a signature recognition system. The system would verify signatures on absentee ballots by comparing them with signatures already on file.

Meanwhile Schultz says his office is also conducting an internal audit to determine how results from this month’s election were delayed for nearly two hours.
