ATHLETE ARRESTS: Campus Rabbit Hunting

Two University of Iowa wrestlers have been arrested for allegedly hunting rabbits on campus.

Connor Ryan and Alex Meyer, both freshmen, were arrested by campus police Tuesday night. Officials say they had been hunting rabbits illegally with BB guns and air rifles.

The University of Iowa Athletics Department says Ryan and Meyer have been suspended indefinitely.

Alex Meyer is from Pleasant Hill and graduated from Southeast Polk High School. He won a state championship his senior year in high school. He wrestles at the 174 weight.

Connor Ryan is from Bettendorf and graduated from Bettendorf High School. He wrestles at the 141/149 weights.
