COURT CLERK: Facing Records Tampering

The Grundy County Deputy Clerk of Court will have to appear in court.

Brigitte Van Nice is accused of lying to help a same-sex couple obtain a marriage license.  She faces charges of tampering records, perjury, and forgery.

According to Prosecutors, Van Nice claimed she officiated a marriage ceremony involving a Florida couple that never took place. She is also accused of falsifying the names of two witnesses from the fake ceremony.
