I’ll keep it somewhat brief, because it’s a busy bar night, one of the busiest of the year, and I don’t want to leave the station and get t-boned by someone who thinks the pilgrims did eight shots at the first Thanksgiving.
Our Christmas lights are up. My wife wouldn’t let us go Griswold, but that’s a good thing. We had illumination prior to Thanksgiving, which in my mind is a holiday foul.
Our neighbors are concerned I’m going to leave the lights on year ’round.
I love Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for so many things, including this blog. I get to write my thoughts and opinions, and you get to tell me when I’m right, and when I’m wrong. Most of you do it in constructive fashion. Thank you.
I’m thankful for the people I work with. I really like them. Really.
I’m thankful there are three NFL games Thursday, and two college games I care about Friday.
I’m thankful John Sears is working so I can be with my family. And I hope he finds time for his too.
I’m thankful for Andy Fales airport hugs story. It’s one of the best features I’ve ever seen. If that seems like too much, wait until you see it.
I could keep writing, but then some drunk might smash into my car. I better get going.
Most of all I’m thankful for my friends and family. I’m blessed beyond measure. We’ll all gather and give thanks. We’ll have a few extra words for my mother. Two time cancer survivor and still fighting. We’re so glad she’s here.
Is this a great country, or what?
