ARMED ROBBERY: Man Shot, 3 Suspects Wanted

An armed robbery on Des Moines’ Southside sent one man to the hospital in the early morning hours of Thanksgiving.

Police were called to 1214 Johnson Street shortly after 1 A.M. Thursday.

According to Police three male suspects approached the victim as he was getting out of his car, in front of his home.  They demanded his wallet and when the victim did not comply, one suspect shot him in the leg. Then all three males ran off on foot.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim.  Paramedics took him to the hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
