RED KETTLE: Making Progress On Goal

Iowans are in a giving mood this holiday season.

The Salvation Army says it is steadily moving towards its red kettle fundraising goal.

Through two weeks of the Red Kettle Campaign, the Des Moines Salvation Army has raised $259,000 towards its $1.2 million goal. The charity has received about 22-percent of its goal in donations so far.

The Boone and Story county Salvation Army is 33-percent of the way to its goal.
