The Des Moines school district wants parents’ and the community’s input in its search for a new superintendent.

Former superintendent Nancy Sebring resigned in May after the media discovered sexually-charged e-mails sent from her district e-mail account.

Tom Ahart is the interim superintendent.

School leaders are holding a community forum so they can hear what qualities people find important in the next superintendent. It’s Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Central Campus on Grand Avenue.
