Two Iowa teens know what it's like to lose a parent in war. Now the two girls are on a special trip to help them deal with the sacrifice. This morning 15-year-old Kayla Jaenke and 18-year-old Dezaray Redd left the Des Moines airport on the "Snowball Express.” The Patriot Guard and Santa Claus were there to see the ladies off on the 4 day trip to Dallas. Jaenke of Iowa Falls has made the trip the last 6 years after losing her mother, Jamie in Iraq. Redd lost her dad, Steven to a helicopter crash last year.
