AMES ARSON: Woman Set To Plead

An Ames woman accused of setting fire to a church has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.

51-year-old Tina Meyer was originally charged with first-degree arson for allegedly setting a fire at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in September. Court records show Meyer plans to plead guilty to a lesser charge on Monday.

That charge carries a possible sentence of ten years in prison.
