Des Moines Police are investigating two fatal accidents along the same stretch of road.
Just before 6 a.m. Saturday police were called to the 7500 block of Highway 28, near the intersection with Old Army Post Road.
According to a witness, a Honda Odyssey minivan was driving erratically southbound on Army Post, just past the intersection, the driver left the road, and rolled down an embankment.
Police say 48 year old Peter Okali of Carlise was wearing a seatbelt and did not appear to be speeding.
He was dead when police arrived, they are still investigating the incident.
On Monday, a crash near the same intersection killed 38-year old Andrew Jackson. Police say it appears Jackson was speeding when he lost control of his SUV, jumped the median and hit another vehicle, critically injuring 50-year-old William Torrence.
