The dense fog that hung around the metro gave travelers at Des Moines International Airport some trouble.
Seven flights scheduled to land in Des Moines had to be diverted to other airports Sunday morning. Airport officials say the weather halted traffic into the airport until 12:30 P.M. when the fog cleared.
The weather also impacted about a dozen outgoing flights that had to be either delayed or canceled.
The changes caused some major headaches for travelers trying to catch connecting flights, but things were back to normal by Sunday night.
