Iowa State has beaten Iowa on the football field for two years running; now ISU is trumping Iowa in another category.

New data from the Iowa Board of Regents shows more students at Iowa State have been charged with alcohol-related offenses in 2012 than at the University of Iowa.

More than 430 students at ISU were charged through September of this year. That’s a 27 percent increase from 2011.

By comparison, about 330 students at the U of I faced alcohol charges which is a 25 percent drop from last year.
