The Iowa Secretary of State’s Office certified the November election results Monday.
President Barack Obama beat challenger Mitt Romney by more than 91,000 votes to capture Iowa’s six electoral votes last month.
However, the numbers show Romney was the big winner on Election Day. Among voters who cast ballots on November 6th, Romney won by 45,000 votes.
The numbers also show President Obama received 137,000 more absentee ballots than Romney. Nearly half of the president’s votes in Iowa were cast before Election Day.
