It’s another reason to slow down.  The city of Windsor Heights unveils two automated speed cameras.

Citations will only be issued to those going eleven miles per hour or more over the posted speed limit.  For now, violators will just get a warning in the mail, but starting January 14, violators will be ticketed based on their speed.

"For fine amounts of eleven to fifteen miles above the posted speed limit that will be $65." explains police chief Dennis McDaniel,  "For 16 to 20 miles per hour it will be $75 and for 21 plus miles per hour it will be $80 plus $5 for each additional mile per hour over the speed limit."

The police department will give motorists a warning about where the cameras are, in real time, via facebook and twitter.
