The Blank Park Zoo got two big additions to its Africa exhibit Thursday.

Two eastern black rhinos are now at the zoo for the new $4 million Africa exhibit opening in the spring.

According to the International Rhino Foundation, there are fewer than 5,000 black rhinos left in the wild.

The male and female rhinos came from South Dakota and Florida. The animals are part of a species survival plan, and zoo officials hope they will breed when they become mature.
