An Ankeny man is scheduled to be sentenced this week for killing his infant daughter.

A Polk County judge convicted 22-year-old Ryan Trowbridge of first degree murder in October.

In July 2010, 4-month old Rylee Trowbridge was found unresponsive at the family’s home.

Trowbridge originally told police his daughter was injured when she slid between a mattress and headboard while taking a nap.

An autopsy found the baby’s injuries didn’t match his account.

His sentencing is scheduled for Tuesday.

Trowbridge is expected to be given a mandatory sentence of life without parole.
