BODY FOUND: Car Pulled From River

Quad Cities crews removed a car from the Mississippi River Monday morning and found a woman’s body inside the vehicle.

A Moline police officer noticed tail lights in the water around 3:30 Monday morning.

Officials say there were skid marks on a nearby road and tire tracks leading down to the river.

The vehicle, a red Pontiac Grand Prix, was pulled from the river just before sunrise.

The name of the victim hasn’t been released and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
