Wells Fargo is asking for a re-zoning change for its campus in West Des Moines because of a possible expansion.
The company has submitted an application to the West Des Moines city council about the proposed changes to its 187.36 acre campus. Wells Fargo’s proposal would see the construction of a 238,536 square foot building, a parking structure, and a parking area.
The company says the plan is just one of the possible plans presented during talks with the city council. Communications Specialist Angela Kaipust with Wells Fargo says the company might expand in order to ease congestion at other Des Moines offices and meet future business needs. Kaipust could not confirm if any additional jobs would be added along with the expansion.
Wells Fargo is asking the West Des Moines city council to initiate the rezoning request and refer it to the Plan and Zoning Commission. It is on the council’s agenda for Monday night.
