It’s been thirty years since Lute Olson coached Iowa, now he’s adding another honor to his list.

Olson was named the 2012 Naismith Outstanding Contributor to men's basketball.

Over his career, Olson won 780 games, led teams to five final fours, and won the whole thing at Arizona in 1997.

These days, Olson enjoys retirement.

He coached the hawks from 1975-1983, won a record 168 games at Iowa, and led the hawks to the 1980 final four.
