A trial date has been set for the Ankeny parents accused of locking their children in the basement.

Paul and Joann Drake are charged with false imprisonment and neglect.

In November, police say they found out the couple was locking their 13 and 14-year-old kids in their basement for several weeks.

Authorities say the children were only let out to attend school.

The Drake’s are scheduled to go on trial on February 13th.

The kids were removed from the home.
