There are a few more guns on the street in Des Moines.

A Polk County Deputy called police when several of his guns went missing, including his county-issued service pistol.

Deputy Michael Lose told police he may have left his garage door open Wednesday night when the guns went missing.

Police believe someone went into his garage, stole two pistols from inside his truck and three shotguns that were next to the truck.

The burglar also stole a bag of ammunition and a camera.

A Sheriff’s department spokesman says Lose has not been disciplined, and has been issued a new service pistol.
