The Iowa Department of Corrections says a man who escaped from the Fort Des Moines Work Release Facility is now back in custody.

Thirty-four-year-old Cory Frahm was placed on escape status after he left the facility December 23rd without permission. He was serving a 12 year sentence for second degree robbery and failure to report contraband in a correctional facility.

Officials say Frahm has been apprehended and is being held in the Polk County Jail.
