The Iowa State Patrol has released the details of a fatal accident Wednesday involving a car that rolled while taking a ramp from I-35 on to I-80.

Eleven-year-old Jacquelle McDonald from Chicago was ejected from the vehicle on the east mixmaster as it rolled one and a half times. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. The ISP says the driver lost control on a ramp, slid off and rolled. The report says the victim wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

In total, five people were in the vehicle driven by 24-year old Brittany Moore. The four survivors, including two other children, were wearing seatbelts. Although they were injured, none of the injuries were deemed life threatening.

The ISP says speed played a factor in the crash.
