Des Moines Area Community College says it is the first in the state to offer computerized GED testing.

The school gives around 1,500 tests a year, more than any other community college in Iowa.

DMACC is in a pilot group of three community colleges and was the first to administer a computerized General Educational Development test one month ago.

DMACC says by January of 2014 all Iowa GED tests will be taken by computer.
