POOL REOPENS: Renovations Completed

It’s still winter but families can now get a taste of summer.

The Urbandale indoor pool reopened Saturday.

The pool has been closed since August for maintenance with officials needing to replace the pool liner.

The pool is open year-round and is located next to the Urbandale High School.

“Now that we are open there are a lot of ‘thank yous’, ‘this is great’, ‘I came here as a kid, I’m bringing my kids, I’m bringing my grandkids,” remarked aquatics programmer scheduler, LeAnn Auxier.

The pool has public swim hours as well as lap swimming and water exercise classes.
