HEALTH CHECK: Free Diabetes Screening

Polk County health officials hope metro residents will take control of their own health this week.

On Wednesday, the health department is offering free diabetes screenings for anyone who wants to get their glucose levels checked. 

They’ll also have information on programs to help people manage or prevent diabetes. 

The free event runs from 8 – 11 a.m. at the Polk County Health Department located at 1907 Carpenter Avenue.
