Wells Fargo hopes to increase business in the metro and possibly hire new employees.
Monday, the West Des Moines city council will hold its second of three readings to allow Wells Fargo home mortgage to expand its headquarters.
The company needs the City’s approval to build a 238-thousand square foot building, parking ramp and to expand its parking lot.
The company says it may use the new building to ease congestion at other metro offices.
Wells Fargo would not say if it will add any additional employees with the expansion.
The West Des Moines council meets at 5.30 p.m.
