The man that ran President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign in Iowa says he’s now running for Secretary of State.

Brad Anderson say he’ll make the official announcement Thursday at the Statehouse.

The election isn’t until next year.

Besides leading a successful re-election campaign, Anderson also worked under former governor Chet Culver’s administration.

The current Secretary of State, Republican Matt Schultz hasn’t said whether or not he’ll run again.
