A plea deal means a man accused of stabbing a woman on a northeast Iowa trail will spend up to 14 years in prison.

The deal has Blake Houser pleading guilty to several charges including willful injury, assault with use of a weapon, going armed with intent, and carrying weapons.

Houser admitted to stabbing Paige King in the shoulder as he rode past her on the trail at George Wyth State Park in Black Hawk County in March.

Houser was sentenced Monday.
