VENUE CHANGE: Publicity Moves Morrissey Trial

The trial for Dan Morrissey, the father of Lyric Cook, has been moved to Davenport.

A judge ruled that the trial be moved because of publicity over Morrissey’s daughter’s disappearance.

Morrissey faces domestic abuse and drug charges.

A hearing is scheduled for January 18th to determine a new trial date.

Morrissey’s daughter Lyric and her cousin Elizabeth Collins disappeared from Evansdale on July 13^th, 2012. The girls’ bodies were found in a wildlife area in Bremer County in December of 2012.

No arrests have been made in that case.
