JOHN DEERE: Cleared After Federal Investigation
After a 17-month investigation Deere and Company has been cleared of any wrong doing in an alleged bribery scandal.
The Securities and Exchange Commission launched an investigation in August of 2011 concerning alleged payments to foreign officials in Russia and surrounding countries
Paying bribes to officials of foreign governments is illegal under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
John Deere announced Thursday in a press release that the SEC has completed its investigation and they won’t be pursuing any action against the company.
