TURF TRIP: Super Bowl Internship For ISU Student

An Iowa State University student is getting the internship opportunity of a lifetime.

Senior Kevin Hansen, a Horticulture major, is going to the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

Hansen was selected for the Super Bowl sports turf training program.

He will spend seven days helping prepare the game and practice fields for the players. He leaves on January 27th.

He will also get to hang out on the sidelines during the big game.

Hansen wrote an essay to get into the program.

He’s a graduate of Boone High School and Kirkwood Community College.
