FLYING HIGH: Des Moines Airport Breaks Record

The Des Moines International Airport broke a record in 2012.

For the first time, the airport had more than two million passengers.

In 2012 the airport added a new security lane for the increase in travelers and added a new airline.

Airport officials also welcomed Southwest Airlines in September. The new airline makes two flights a day to Chicago Midway.
