R-RATED: Teacher Disciplined For Showing Movie Clip

A Johnston Middle school teacher was disciplined for showing an R-rated movie clip to students.

The Des Moines Register reports the clip was from the new movie Texas Chainsaw 3D. The film is rated R due to its strong language and violence.

The school’s human resource director told the Register the incident “represents a serious lapse in judgment.”

The district says it disciplined the teacher, but they refused to say how.
