The Department of Public Works has organized for residents to dispose of large tree debris, free of charge. Residents can take the debris to the Metro Waste Compost Facility at 1601 Harriett Street.

The department will also collect small bundles of tree debris from private residences. This disposal of tree debris does not apply to business and commercial tree services.

Branches and smaller tree debris must be cut into 4-foot lengths and packed into bundles 1 ½ foot in diameter. The bundles must be placed on the curb with a Compost It Sticker for pick up on regular Solid Waste collection day.

Saturday January 12 and Saturday February 16 are the dates for which residents can drop of debris. Times for collection are from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both dates.
