SLEEPING BAN: Library Considers New Conduct Code
Any college student could tell you, sometimes when you’re studying you just need to rest your eyes for a few minutes. That may no longer be possible at an Iowa City Library.
At the end of January the Library Board of Trustees will consider changing the code of conduct to say no sleeping is allowed in the library.
The Library staff is recommending the change because it makes some patrons uncomfortable when others are snoozing the day away.
A similar recommendation was made in 2001, but was turned down.
