A state legislator is taking action against President Obama’s gun control plan.

Representative Tom Shaw wants to expand gun rights in Iowa. He told the Des Moines Register he plans to start with a bill that would ban federal authorities from confiscating gun from Iowa Citizens.

The bill would be a longshot because it violates federal laws, but Shaw has plans for other bills too.

He wants to allow Iowans to carry weapons on school grounds, because he feels areas like schools which have been labeled “gun free zones” are really just “free-to-kill zones.”

If any of these bills were to make it out of the House, they would likely be stopped in the Democrat controlled Senate.
