INAUGURATION DUTY: Iowa Soldiers Called Up

Some Iowa National guard soldiers and airmen are being called up to help with the presidential inauguration on January 21st.

About 120 soldiers will assist with support missions for the 57th Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C. That includes 100 soldiers from the 1133rd Transportation Company, 10 airmen from the 185th Air Refueling Win, and 10 soldiers from the 135th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, 185th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Joint Forces Headquarters, and the 71st Civil Support Team.

The soldiers and airmen will provide assistance with transportation, attendee management, and support of military personnel. They are expected to serve in support of the inauguration for about eight days.
