MURDER VICTIM: Funeral Services Saturday

Funeral services are being held Saturday for the victim of Des Moines’ first homicide of 2013.

Forty-seven-year-old Cynthia Rouse was found dead in her home Monday.

Authorities haven’t said what caused her death, but say there was trauma to her body.

A funeral service is Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and the visitation will begin one hour prior. Both are at Trinity United Methodist Church in Des Moines.

Forty-two-year-old Lavelle McKinley is charged with first degree murder in the case. He’ll be in court next on January 28th.
