The Dominos at 3105 Douglas Avenue was robbed around 9:45 p.m. Police say an employee was in the alley behind the store emptying the trash when a man approached her with a gun. The man then directed the employee back in the building, where he was given the money from the cash register before he took off running.
According to the Des Moines Register, the suspect was located a short time later. Police say 26-year-old Rodney Martin Dunn had evidence linking him to the robbery on his person.
Dunn is charged with first degree robbery. He is being held in the Polk County Jail on a bond of $25,000.
