A 14-year-old boy was injured Sunday after leading police on a chase in eastern Iowa.
KWWL reports the chase began around 1:28 a.m. Sunday in Marion when officers saw a car drive over a curb and onto a sidewalk. They tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver wouldn’t pull over and took off.
The teen lost control of the vehicle on Highway 151 and crashed near the intersection of Linn-Jones Road.
The 14-year-old driver was hurt in the crash and was transported to a Cedar Rapids hospital.
Marion police say charges against the teen are pending.
