The Iowa Energy have not been having the best season. Sitting in last place with a 6-15 record this season is not working for owners who tasted a championship only two years ago.

The Energy fired head Coach Kevin Young Monday. Young took over at the beginning of last season. He will leave the organization with a record of 31-42.

Assistant Coach Bruce Wilson will serve as interim head coach until a replacement is found.

General Manager Chris Makris explained the move, “The group felt that the start we got to this season just wasn’t on par with what they were looking for. We’ve got a very proud organization, an organization that’s very used to winning, fans that are used to winning, so we felt the time was right to make the change.”
