A final pre-trial hearing is being held Tuesday for a Des Moines father accused of sexually abusing several of his children.

James Beaudrie is charged with nine counts of first degree sexual abuse and two counts of child endangerment. Officials say he sexually abused three of his nine children. Beaudrie, his wife Kijua, and the children were living in the back room of a store at Merle Hay Mall.

James Beaudrie was apprehended in Chicago in April of 2012 after a nationwide manhunt.

His trial is scheduled for January 28th.

Kijua Beaudrie was sentenced in October to 30 years in prison on child neglect charges. Prosecutors say she knew about the abuse but did nothing to stop it.

She is expected to cooperated with prosecutors and testify in the trial against her husband.
