DNR director Chuck Gipp wants to set the record straight.

Chuck Gipp served in the state legislature for 19 years. During some of that time he was House majority leader.

He left office in 2008 and worked for the Iowa Soil Conservation Division before joining the DNR in 2011.

He talks to Channel 13`s Dan Winters in Three Minutes in the Chair to clear up misconceptions about the supposed release of mountain lions and bears to keep the deer population at bay.
