ELECTION RESULTS: Prichard Wins District 52

Voters in Floyd and Chickasaw Counties headed to the polls Tuesday to fill the final vacant seat in the Iowa Legislature.

On the ballot for house district 52 were Republican Dennis Litterer and Democrat Todd Prichard.

In the November election Democrat Brian Quirk won the seat then resigned shortly after to accept a new job.

Prichard won the special election with 54 percent of votes.

Republicans still hold a seven seat advantage in the Iowa house.
