ROBBERY SUSPECT: FBI Catches Bank Robber

Generic Police

The FBI says they’ve caught the so-called “Ray-Bandit” bank robber.

Jeremy Evans of Carol Stream, Illinois is accused of robbing 17-banks in Iowa and six other states. Officials believe he robbed the Valley Bank in Bettendorf, Iowa on September 14, 2012.

Authorities arrested Evans in Illinois last Tuesday just after he robbed an Elgin bank.

The robber got the nickname “Ray-Bandit” because of his Ray-ban sunglasses.

At this point, Evans is charged with one count of bank robbery and being held without bond.
