Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds visited with students at Saint Ambrose University Wednesday.
Reynolds and Governor Branstad stopped in the quad cities as part of their statewide tour to take the Governor’s Condition of the State speech on the road.
During the visit Reynolds toured the campus to promote science, technology, engineering, and math (or stem) education.
Reynolds stopped in several classrooms to talk with professors and students about the program and she says she learned a lot from those conversations. “I asked them if their parents were in that field, and the majority that I talked to said that they weren’t, but they believe that hands on experience is the best way to really engage students and help them see the relevance of taking those science and math courses.”
