Creston police say they’ve made an arrest in a stabbing investigation.

Police say they arrested 20-year-old William Bird early Thursday morning on three warrants for first degree burglary, domestic abuse, and attempted murder.

Police think Bird stabbed a woman during a domestic assault Wednesday morning. Officers say the victim was trying to escape to a neighbor’s house when Bird chased her down and stabbed her in her chest before he ran off.

Paramedics took the victim to the hospital.  Her name and condition are not being released.
